The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc (RFMH) is a private, not-for-profit membership corporation organized in 1952, for the purpose of assisting and enhancing the research and training objectives of the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene and its component agencies; the Office of Mental Health (OMH), the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). By way of Columbia University Medical Center - Training for the C-SSRS is available on-line (and indicated/preferred for clinical practice) before administering the C-SSRS. Training can be administered through a 30-minute interactive presentation followed by a series of patient case scenarios for you to score after the training. Those completing the training are certified to administer the C-SSRS, and will receive a training certificate. The training certificate is valid for two years.
